SUMMERSIDE – Summerside Baseball has been awarded more championships and competitions since the news broke of the successful bid to host
Summerside Baseball will now host the following awarded events by Baseball PEI:
- 13U “AAA” Provincial Championships, August 30th – Sept 2nd
- 13U “A” Round-Robin Play, August 23rd – August 24th
- “AA” Final Fours, September 7th
Also being hosted this season by Summerside Baseball is an upcoming Charlottetown Senior Islanders double-header on July 21st at Legends Field as they take on the Fredericton Royals. Game times are 2 pm and 4:30 pm.
Summerside Baseball’s Vice President, and Head Coach of the 13U “AAA” Chevys, Wes Echlin was excited of the organizations recent additions to it’s event lineup for 2019.
It’s great. Anytime we can add more events to our summer schedule here in Summerside is very positive. It’s good for us, it’s good for our members and it’s great for the community. We are especially excited to be hosting the 13U “AAA” Provincial Championships right here in our backyard.

The fields have been packed solid this summer with Summerside Baseball hosting a various amount of games and events such as the PEI Juniors, its regular programming and soon, the Charlottetown Senior Islanders will be coming to town.
Things are good here. The park is busy, the emails are flying in and everything just seems to be working well so far. We’ve added a few events to the lineup for the season this past week and I cannot wait to see Queen Elizabeth Park ‘buzzing” during the weekend of August 30th – Sept 2nd with two championships now coming to town!
