Chevys 18U “AA” Falls to Cornwall After Fourth Inning Score

Cornwall, PE – Chevys 18U AA lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Cornwall on Thursday.  The game was tied at two with Cornwall batting in the bottom of the fourth when Ty Arsenault induced Keefe Marshall to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Cornwall pitchers struck out five, while Chevys 18U AA sat down nine.

Cornwall got things moving in the first inning.  Arsenault’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Cornwall.

Cornwall took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Christopher MacDougall tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Jude Rist earned the victory on the mound for Cornwall. He allowed three hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Arsenault took the loss for Chevys 18U AA. He allowed two hits and three runs over five innings, striking out eight.

Liam Greenan, Parker Gallant, and Connor Ellsworth all had one hit to lead Chevys 18U AA.
