Inaugural ID Sessions a Success!

SUMMERSIDE | The Summerside Area Baseball Association is happy to report that the first year trial run of hosting ID sessions for the Bantam, Peewee and Mosquito “AAA” levels was a great step in the right direction.

The sessions were held at SIS (Summerside Intermediate School) and ran throughout the month of April. These camps were focussed on the “AAA” divisions but were offered to all members. In total there were approximately 80+ Athletes that attended the sessions. Each essions was facilitated by the coaching staff for the respective “AAA” level teams.

I was excited to see so many athletes attend, especially with other sports still on the go. The overall response from players, coaches and parents alike is that the sessions were valuable for tryout preparation

– Shawn Adams, Director of Development | Summerside Area Baseball Association

SABA noted in total that there were 9 sessions offered, totalling approx 15 hours of indoor training. The Summerside Intermediate School Athletics Department was a huge partner in helping to provide an indoor facility to run the sessions.

We couldn’t have held these sessions without the accommodations made by SIS along with the commitment from our coaches, parents, and volunteers. We now look to build on the inaugural sessions from this season and increase off-season training for our membership – added Adams.
