Baseball PEI Launching 13U Skill Development Camp in Summerside

Beginning on 6 January 2019, Baseball PEI will be running 13U player development camps in four different locations across Prince Edward Island: Hernewood Intermediate School in the Western region, Summerside Intermediate School in the East Prince/Mid-Isle region, the Norton-Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex for the Capital region, and Mount Stewart Consolidated School for the Eastern region.

The ten-week program will be compromised mainly for skill development with each session focussing on three different areas in an effort for each player to improve their game by learning and performing proper skills and concepts. The skill development will be at a higher level – the curriculum the instructors will be teaching will be formed based on latest elite baseball knowledge and teachings, with input and advice from both former and current Provincial team coaches. However, these camps are open to anybody regardless of their skill level.

Time and Location for Camps:

Summerside Intermediate School: Sundays from 11 am – 12:30 pm, beginning on 6 January 2019

The cost for the ten weeks is $75, which can be paid at the beginning of the first session. Anyone who will be turning 10, 11, 12 or 13 years old in 2019 is welcome to register. Each participant will be required to have a baseball glove, helmet, water bottle, and indoor sneakers to wear (if you are a catcher and have your own catching gear, please bring that as well). We will only be registering 30 players per camp, so sign up ASAP (a waiting list will be created after 30 are registered for a camp).
