On top of the clinic information details being released, Baseball PEI has announced that NCCP clinics will be FREE for all Women on PEI in 2019.

Baseball PEI says they are committed to assisting more women and girls to become involved with baseball, especially in coaching. As a result, in 2019, baseball NCCP clinics are free for any women or girls who wish to take them on Prince Edward Island. Baseball PEI will cover the cost.

“The reality is at the 9U level and above, in 2018, only 6% of all coaches were women on PEI. That’s a number we need to raise,” says Baseball PEI E.D., Randy Byrne.

“Girls need role models in the sport. Coaches are major role models. The more women who are coaching, the more girls can see a future in our sport. We want to make it easier for girls and women to get into coaching in baseball, so this is one way we are trying to do that.”
