Summerside Area Baseball Association (SABA) Renews Two-Year Development Partnership with Atlantic Baseball Academy

Summerside, PEI – April 15, 2024 – The Summerside Area Baseball Association (SABA) is thrilled to announce the renewal of its two-year development partnership with the Atlantic Baseball Academy (ABA), aimed at fostering the growth and development of SABA’s members.

The agreement, which extends the collaboration between SABA and ABA, underscores the commitment of both organizations to provide unparalleled opportunities for player development. This partnership stands as a testament to the dedication of SABA to invest in its membership and its development.

President of SABA, Nick Hann, expressed his enthusiasm about the extended partnership, stating, “This is just another great perk to having such a resourceful partnership with Township Chevrolet as our title sponsor. We are very fortunate to have the resources to put back into our program and our members, and we feel that development is such an important place to put it.”

Under the renewed partnership, Andrew MacNevin, representing ABA, will continue to collaborate closely with SABA to deliver development programs and opportunities for players. MacNevin remarked, “It has been a pleasure working with SABA over the last number of years, and we look forward to continuing to facilitate development opportunities for its membership in the years to come.”

To kick off the season, SABA has scheduled spring training sessions at the Summerside Dome. Sessions for 11U and 12+ age groups will take place on Sunday, April 21st, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additional sessions are scheduled for Sunday, April 28th and Sunday, May 5th with 11U age groups running from 2:00-3:30 and the 12+ age group being held from 3:30-5:00 on both of these days. The cost for each session will be just $10 per player.

“We are very excited for another two years of our partnership and to help strengthen our association as a whole,” added Hann.

In addition to player spring training, coaching development programs and on-field camps will be offered throughout the season, providing comprehensive support for players and coaches alike.
