Summerside Leads Registration Numbers for 2019

SUMMERSIDE | Summerside Baseball is pleased to lead registration numbers for the second straight season on Prince Edward Island.

Baseball PEI Executive Director, Randy Bryne confirmed on Thursday that of the approximately 1940 registered players for minor baseball on PEI this year (not including Junior, Senior Intermediate, Old-timers, etc), Summerside has the most players registered at 327. Stratford comes in second with 299 kids registered.

Baseball is certainly thriving here in Summerside. It’s tremendous to hear that we are once again leading the province as Baseball PEI’s largest organization. It’s important to recognize our Director of Membership, Dave Dunn – who handles all player registrations and works tirelessly on player transfers, payments, necessary paperwork and membership inquires. Im glad to see registration taking a slight boost this season and continuing to growing our membership.

Tanner Doiron – President & General Manager, Summerside Baseball

Summerside had 324 players registered for the 2018 season, which indicates a slight increase for the current season.

The numbers are compiled from the new RAMP System, an online registration database introduced by Baseball PEI this season. The registered programs would include Blastball, Pony, Jr. Mosquito, Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam and Midget baseball teams for the 2019 season.
