Summerside 18U AA Chevys was victorious over Cornwall Cougars, 5-1.
Summerside 18U AA Chevys got things moving in the second inning, when Kalib Snow singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Summerside 18U AA Chevys pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Summerside 18U AA Chevys scored on a stolen base during Jacob Dunn‘s at bat. Then Dunn singled.
Summerside 18U AA Chevys scored three runs in the fifth inning. Nic Gunning, Duncan Picketts, and Cody McCormack all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Dunn earned the win for Summerside 18U AA Chevys. He surrendered zero runs on four hits over six innings, striking out five. Snow threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Myles Grant took the loss for Cornwall Cougars. He allowed six hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight.
Gunning, Snow, Liam Greenan, Garrett Culleton, Dunn, and Ty Arsenault each managed one hit to lead Summerside 18U AA Chevys.
Calen MacPhail went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cornwall Cougars in hits.
