Donate quality used equipment to win a team pizza party from Greco!
Summerside PE: The recent wildfires in Nova Scotia have caused so much heartache for their residents, particularly the hardest hit area, Hammond’s Plains. As a result, the Hammonds Plain’s A’s Baseball Association needs monetary relief to get its members back to playing the game we all love. Thirty of their members have lost everything, and many other members have been displaced and are days away from returning home. In an already trying time, this comes with a significant cost to them. The Chevy family and the Summerside business community have the ability to help our neighbors find relief during this trying time. We are asking you, our members for your help!
SABA is going to make a monetary donation to the Hammonds Plains A’s Baseball Association for every piece of quality used baseball gear you donate to the SABA gear drive. The equipment you donate will be made available to our local Chevy players who may otherwise not have access. The Board of Directors understands that with inflation and many rising costs, sport and equipment are more challenging to afford than ever before. We believe this initiative not only helps our neighbors in Hammonds Plains but also helps our aspiring baseball players right here at home, and this is important to us here at SABA.
During the Opening Day festivities, we ask that you please bring your quality used equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Ballpark Canteen. We are aiming to “Fill the Chevy Equinox”, the official vehicle of the Summerside Area Baseball Association. The team that donates the most equipment will win a pizza party (2 party pizzas/1 party garlic finger) sponsored by our friends at Greco. What a great way to start the season! If you don’t have the gear to provide and would still like to help, we can accept cash or cheque donations that will go directly to the Hammonds Plains A’s Baseball Association. **Cheques are made payable to Summerside Area Baseball Associaton**
