SUMMERSIDE, PE – Summerside Chevys Baseball teams brought home 3 banners over the weekend.
It was an impressive showing all around for many of Chevys baseball teams who competed for championship banners this past weekend across PEI in provincial and
The 2019 18U “AA” Atlantics were hosted at Legends field with some exciting and high-level baseball throughout the weekend. The Summerside Chevys had a perfect weekend winning all of its games and securing the title of Atlantic Champions after beating the Cardigan Clippers in the finals. The 18U “AA” Chevys were also this year’s provincial Champions.
Furthermore, the Summerside 15U “AAA” also had an impressive showing this weekend at the Baseball PEI 15U “AAA” Provincial Championship presented by Atlantic Baseball Academy. The Chevys finished with a perfect weekend and would ultimately win the Championship to punch their ticket to the 2019 Atlantic Championships in Miramichi New Brunswick September 13th-15th.
Lastly, Summerside Baseball’s 13U “A” team Laughlin secured its gold medal at this year’s Baseball PEI Provincial Championship.
The 13U “AAA” Chevys also posted a solid weekend coming up just short in the end, losing in the finals to Capital District at this weekends Provincial Championship hosted on VIV Field. However, they will attend the 2019 Baseball Canada National-Atlantic Championships in Dartmouth Nova Scotia from September 12th-15th as runners up.
Summerside Baseball now turns to host the “AA” division final fours this weekend at Queen Elizabeth Park.
